Dr. Chilao Mutesa

Dr. Mutesa is a seasoned human capital strategist and corporate leader with over 24 years of cross-sectoral experience spanning mining, telecommunications, education, and financial services. He has held senior executive roles including Director of Human Resources at Zambia Telecommunications Company Limited, Head of Management Development at Konkola Copper Mines Plc, Human Resource Manager at FINCA Zambia, and Human Resource Projects Coordinator at First Quantum Minerals and Academic Dean at Northrise University in Ndola. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Puku Solutions, a management consulting and HR technology firm.

He serves as Second Vice President of the United Federation of Employers in Zambia (UFEZ), where he represents employer interests at national level, including in tripartite policy discussions. He is also a member of the Human Resource Management Committees for the Office of the Auditor General and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Dr. Mutesa holds a PhD in Senior Management Education from the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, an MBA and Diploma in Management Studies from Hull University, a Certificate in Labour Law from the University of Cape Town, and is a certified Human Resource Data Analyst with AIHR in the Netherlands.
