Who is an Employer?

Any person or institution with a contract of service with an employee under NAPSA Act is defined as an Employer. This includes:
  1. The Government of the Republic of Zambia
  2. NGO's, Foreign Missions and International Organizations
  3. Households that have employed domestic workers

What are the Obligations of Employers?

  1. Register all eligible workers with the Scheme
  2. Deduct and Pay Contributions
  3. Provide information in support of contribution Payment
  4. Keep proper records relating to employees’ earnings and personal data.
  5. Notify NAPSA of change in location, status of operations i.e. cessation/suspension of business

When Should an Employer Register with the Scheme?

Within one month of commencing operations or employing an Eligible employee(s)
