Which Employees are covered?

All workers between ages of 16 and 55 whether engaged on:
  1. Part Time
  2. Probation or Casual basis
  3. Contract
  4. Permanent
  5. Non Zambians employed by local institutions
  6. Public service workers who joined the civil after February 1, 2000

Which employees are exempted?

  1. Non- Zambians employed by International Organizations with diplomatic status
  2. Workers above age 55 and minors below age 16
  3. Workers earning below K 15,000.00 per month
  4. Members of the armed forces

When should An Employer Register or update Workers Records?

  1. At employment
  2. Change of marital status
  3. Birth of a Child

Why Should Workers Register

  1. It is required by Law
  2. Creation of an account / Allotment of Social Security Number
  3. Nominate Beneficiaries
